Tnx again to all for helping me understand the mail process and what does what. I have completed the MTA configuration, (does SuSE use Postfix?), under Yast->Network Services->MTA. Install and activate amavis-new, it will use Clamav and SA. You need to tweak the config file, so make sure to read the readmes. Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.8-24.10-default x86_64

Suse uses postfix or sendmail, whichever you prefer. I think it defaults out of the box to postfix. Personally, I strongly recommend postfix over sendmail, unless you need the more, er, esoteric, feature set. Most people don't nowadays, but YMMV. I found postfix to be ENORMOUSLY faster than sendmail, and a boatload easier to configure. Currently using Postfix, Spamassassin, amavisd-new, clam and fprot.
