******casting my electrons to the solar winds .... ****** Hi gang, any idea on the hows and whys of kde2 dt mysteriously dissappearning??? Only change to the system at all was installation of the Soundcard. ( Thanks to all who sent suggestions >g>) but that ought not make DT "get lost" ... kde! origional dt is still working just fine .. and the foldre for kde2 dt is still there w/ all settings ( as far as I can tell anyway) Any iseas on how to restore it will be greatly appreciated. THe computer is a polywell "purpose built" if I try to login to teh kde2 dt I get a purple suse type BG no icons and no bar accross teh bottom or top or anywhere else I get a brief glimpse of teh kde2 splash but it doesn't stay and doesn't actually load anything... ( well, guess that's obvious ;) ) maybe it'll be all fixored when 7.1 arrives ( soon, please god ... I've been a really *good* girl everso long >g>) j afterthought: Save the whales. Collect the whole set.
