[opensuse] OpenOffice dictionary wizard
I've notice that the Novell/SUSE version of OpenOffice doesn't have the dictionary wizard, that's included with other versions. Why is that? tnx jk -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

We did not want to dupplicate the functionality. We currently provide >75 RPM packages with myspell dictionaries. They are installed to the system, so they are shared between all users and other applications. Since I only using one language, I'm not missing any. I was just curious why OO on, for example, Ubuntu has that Wizard, but not on SUSE. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It doesn't hurt, though, if you run dicooo.sxw in OpenOffice. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Since you are asking... I noticed that of all the 6 dictionaries I used to have to download and save in /usr/share/myspell/ and link to /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/ I am now down one only I am still missing: Canadian English, i.e. en_CA.aff and en_CA.dic Interestingly, hyph_en_CA.dic is already present in /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/, but I wish there was also a thesaurus for it or that I could use the US English thesaurus instead. -- Carlos FL Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
