[opensuse] Application to search software.openSUSE.org?
Hi, openSUSE has quite a lot of packages that I don't find from Yast Software Manager. I have to go to software.opensuse.org. Is there any way to search these packages without opening the browser? Thanks Swapnil -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Isn't webpin broken at the moment? Swapnil, what software can't you find through YaST? If you want to experiment with the apps etc., have you add the Community repositories? (especially Packman) Once you have the Community repos added, you get like... 99% of what's available... the remaining things are in people's personal repos. Webpin did not work (tried it first before posting) throwing 404 error.

Yes, I have Pacman enabled. I was looking for Grsync and Unetbootin. Could not find vua Yast to used one click install from the site. Another question: I installed uNetbootin but can't find via menu search or Krunner. Where is it located? It's been doing that for a looooong time. No one has time to maintain it is my guess :-(

Grsync should be in the network repo... For unetbootin, if you can't find it in the menus, then just start it from a terminal as root (always works for me). It may not have a menu entry in 12.1... guessing since I haven't installed it there yet... I tend to favor Suse Studio Writer over unetbootin these days. It was not. Network repo was enabled.

Did not find Suse Studio Writer how can I get it? Thanks. Swapnil

It should be in the standard OSS repo. Look at the Wiki for more info: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick#Install_ImageWriter C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
