Hello Why does xgl have so many gnome dependencies such as gstreamer and gnome-audio, why would a window manager need these. Being as I only use KDE I would really rather not have all of these extra dependencies for gnome. Is there a way around this and to not have to install these, thanks. -- LostSon http://www.lostsonsvault.org /\ \ \ \__/ \__/ \ \ (oo) (oo) \_\/~~\_/~~\_ _.-~===========~-._ (___________________) \_______/ I Want To Believe

It is about to be split into two packages. Though at the moment there is
no other window decorator than gnome-window-decorator, so this is a bit
academic at this time.

Oh yes there are, Custom Generic Window Decorator(cgwd), Yet Another Window Decorator (yawd). Both of them are themeable. See www.compiz.net for more details. cgwd doesnt use gconf, so doesnt have gnome dependencies. There are alternate compiz SUSE packages available at http://software.opensuse.org/download/Compiz-Quinn/ More information about those packages here: http://www.compiz.net/topic-119-suse-linux-compiz-quinn-packages Cheers! -J

Read: we currently have no other window decorator packaged ;)
