I am wondering is there is any documentation on installing the blacklist stuff for sendmail. We have started to pick up a ton of spam mail.... -- Kirk Moore Anonymous - Passport Test Cluster - Passport 425-707-2692 - desk phone Black holes are created when God divides by zero!
Kirk, I am using SpamAssassain in combination with Inflex. Basically, SpamAssassain handles the spam and Inflex handles my virus scanning. SpamAssassain contains features for blacklists as well as whitelists. These tools are definitely worth a look. Hope this helps you out! ============================================ Drew J. If you are using SuSE 8.1 and have sendmail installed /etc/sysconfig/sendmail # # Use real-time black-hole lists. Sendmail will refuse to receive mail # from # any IP number which is listed in any of the RBL lookups given here. # Space seperated list of host names to query via DNS, e.g.: # inputs.orbz.org # relays.orbl.org # relays.ordb.org # relays.osirusoft.com # orbs.dorkslayers.com # SENDMAIL_DNSRBL="" If you have a version <8.1 then you can create your own sendmail.cf look in /etc/mail/README HTH -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
