Problem installing apcupsd in Suse Linux Sdandard Server 8.0
Hi, I get apcupsd source from www.apcupsd.com. Get version 3.8.5 which I think is most suitable for SLSS8. Configure and make went OK. But when I did make install I get error: "Sorry seem that you don't have the etc/rc.config file. You may heed to check your SuSE installation as this is very dangerous" Is this mean that I 3.8.5 version is not suitable for SLSS8? Or it is error in sources? How can I correct this error? Audrius

Isn't apcupsd included with SLSS8? It is with the last couple of SuSE versions. Perhaps you could copy the package from SuSE.

No. There is no rpm package for SLSS8. And I can find rpm package only for SuSE 9.0 witch is to new... Audrius
