Now I'm curious: Why am I *not* receiving his mail? I have no filters, and I have not received anything from this guy at all.
You won't get these error msgs unless you post to the list (it doesn't matter whether you copy gsteward@... or not; his ISP is misconfigured and is sending errors to the From: address - the poster to the list - instead of to the list's envelope address - the long funny-looking address in From header line (notice the lack of the colon after this last 'From')) It probably does absolutely no good to complain about these misconfigs here on the list itself, as I bet the list maintainer doesn't read the list traffic, especially on a high-volume list like this. Instead, send the offending msg to the list maintainer at: suse-linux-e-owner@suse.com and eventually he'll see it and can remove the offending subscriber. Be sure to include the full headers from the error msg, so the maintainer can figure out who the culprit is. Normally the list server would automatically remove an unreachable subscriber after enough error msgs, but when the target ISP is misconfigured like this, the server doesn't get the errors, we posters do. That's why it's important to let the list maintainer know about these things. Please DON'T write to the maintainer about gsteward@, as I've already done that. But if anyone gets this kind of error msg in the future from another address, don't complain to the list, alert the list maintainer.
