[opensuse] geoip with 4.12.14-lp151.28.10-default
I am considering to upgrade from 15.0 to 15.1 but cannot see the respective package to support GEOIP at the kernel level (xtables-addons-kmp-default) in the repositories. Does that mean xt_geoip.ko is not available and thus package xtables-geoip is broken in 15.1? I searched the buglist and could only find an entry for 15.0: Bug 1098188 - iptables geoip is not working kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.4-default Does that not mean 15.1 is affected as well? Any recommendations for a work around? Holger -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

What should I say ... this bug is over a year old. After installing the source package xtables-addons it builds both packages: zypper si xtables-addons rpmbuild -bb /usr/src/packages/SPECS/xtables-addons.spec xtables-addons-2.14-lp151.3.58.x86_64.rpm xtables-addons-kmp-default-2.14_k4.12.14_lp151.28.10-lp151.3.58.x86_64.rpm I see lots of compiler warnings but the package gets created and is usable (with some depmod errors with xt_IPMARK.ko when it is installed). Unfortunately, I cannot create or edit tickets myself. Anyhow, I think both issues are the same bug unless you see any action related to the QA process for this type of issues. As an end user I am happy to use above steps as workaround. Holger -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Why not? Everybody can. Just create an account. If you already have one and it doesn't work, then just open a ticket with the admin (admin@opensuse.org).
Anyhow, I think both issues are the same bug unless you see any action related to the QA process for this type of issues.
That an rpm found on the search page is not downloadable is a different issue. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
