If it we were in the past , where our OS called "SUSE Linux - Linux for open minds", than I would agree that it's redundant, but since our distro's name has no "Linux" in it, it's not redundant anymore. -- -Alexey Eremenko "Technologov" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I know, and I have contributed my opinion there. But this has nothing to do with this vote - there should have been a way to express dislike as well. If 30 people voted for slogan XYZ but 50 people voted against the slogans, do you think it would be reasonable to choose slogan XYZ as winner? I don't think so. But it's too late now. Well, I don't really care about that slogan stuff anyway - it's just marketing... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hehe, on the front side: 'Born to be wild' and on the back: 'Opensuse: pray for freedom'. But don't forget: 'DRM sux' on the bike's plate. ;-) Thx Jan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

And now you know the flaw in Drive-By Media's distorted poll methods. The general public will vote yes, even if they don't agree 100% with the precise context of the question. I would have I was looking for something like openSuSE - build it to suit your needs we need something that differentiates us from other versions and gives business a "concept thought" to try it. scsijon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sounds good, but people might think that openSUSE is a tailor-made distribution (a distribution which are build according to users request). -- Salam, Adi Nugroho PT. iNterNUX - Internet Service Provider Jalan Dr. Sam Ratulangi No. 53J Makassar Tel. +62-411-834690 Fax. +62-411-834691 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

well I meant, you build / assemble its modules to suit what you want it to have installed. to quote myself with what I put on opensuse-project -------------------- not bad but I would like to have seen something like openSuSE - build it to suit your needs there is nothing there that fills this void directly. this would have given the point that with so many packages available with openSuSE you can build your desktop / server / firewall / etc. to suit what you want it to look and feel like, your not limited to a single layout / not just limited to a small number of packages or desktops. --------------------- this is where the major packagers can come in over the small ones. regards scsijon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You really need to get that magic eight-ball checked, my friend. SuSE since 9.2 and SuSE forever as far as I'm concerned. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
