Hi All, Just installed suse 10.1. Obviously the new patch software doesn't work. I would like to know if there are instructions posted somewhere as to how to fix the update problem. I do not want to use smart. Thank you, Phil

I believe that if you do a Yast Online Update (YOU) a few times (really) it will update the parts of the update software that need to be updated out of the box.
That works for me. In addition, if rug or zmd or anything happens to get patched by YOU that relates to the update mechanism I usually reboot. This way I am assured that the new update mechanism actually is being used and it gets rid of error messages I have seen. I am now up to about a dozen machines installed and although the extra steps needed to get all the patches initially are a bit taxing, in the end all of the machines now are stable and working fine through the orb update mechanism.
