2 questions - kdesu passwords / konq yast button
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I asked these on the suse-kde list but got no response so I thought I'd try here 1) I recently re-installed kde3.1 and now when I run yast from my user login or konqueror as root (ie. kdesu konqueror) my password is not remembered. I've tried switching the option off and then switching it back on in kcontrolcenter but have had no luck. kcontrolcenter-->security-->passwords is set to remember passwords120minutes 2) After my most recent kde3.1 upgrade the "Install with Yast button has disappeared from konq (when I select an *.rpm file) and I am taken directly to kpackage. As much as I used to like kpackage I prefer the Install w/ yast option. Does anyone know how to restore this? The problem turned out to be a missing "KRPMview" embedded viewer from "kdebase3-SuSE8.1-23.rpm" that I'd failed to re-install. I was able to track this down by checking the file associations on another SuSE8.1 machine. I'm still looking for the answer to why kdesu isn't respecting my choice of remembering passwords though.
