1. If install linux on dual processor do i need to reconfigure the kernal? Is this something of the past. 2. If i install linux on a single processor and later add another processor into the box do i need to reinstall? 2. can kernal be configure to work better with larger memory. thanks henry

1. You have to have a SMP enabled kernel to be able to use both CPU's 2. You only have to install a new SMP kernel. No need to reinstall the whole system 3. Explain more in detail "work better" There are kernels with support for LARGE memoryspace (4/64 Gb) -- /Rikard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rikard Johnels email : rikjoh@norweb.se Web : http://www.rikjoh.com Mob : +46 735 05 51 01 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
