It seems that the libreoffice list has similar problems and Brian Barker made a useful-looking proposal to fix the problem:

I wonder if it would be possible to do this for the opensuse lists? I'd suggest a tag like .notDMARC rather than .INVALID so it's clear why the tag is there.

Technically everything is possible :-) , but it would ruin people's ability to reply-to-all. Which some people consider the appropriate netiquette, usually on busy lists. Also, making the From: address invalid might not be appreciated by spam filters. I don't like the idea of fiddling with a mail - adding information is all I would prefer to do.
