Greetings, I have read through all the documentation on uucp. I seem to lack some understanding. If I setup uucp using hdb_config and scout. I can uucp a file to a system and when uucico is invoked it copies, Now one of the biggest problems we face with uucp, is it seems to be unstable. Here is why, over 500 sites using dialup (uucico) to transfer data back to our server, we have close 30 calls a week saying data has not been updated, We have been pulling the PCs back to our head office for months, We check the configuration we test it is works perfectly. We send the PC back to the client and it won't transfer. So we naturally go there and see. Every thing is fine, and nothing has changed, What I have discovered is that the Line is always busy with uucico, and by repeating the command over and over it eventually dials, connects and transfers.
