Hi Marcel,
Recently someone told me how to create Jet Direct queues using the CUPS web interface at 127.0.0.1:631 but on another nachine I am having a problem with this and get the message:
An error occurred while loading http://127.0.0.1:631/
Connection to host 127.0.0.1 is broken
Is the cups daemon running?
Not sure ... I tried "chkconfig cups" and it came back with "cups on" ... I assume that means it is?
is "127.0.0.1 localhost" in your /etc/hosts?
Yes Any other ideas? James C. Rocks Equant Archway House Canary Wharf London E14 9SZ

No, this simply means that cupsd should (!) be started in the current runlevel. to see in which daemons/services are configured to run in which runlevels: # chkconfig --list To find out it is really running do: # ps -e |grep cupsd if it's running it should return something like this: 795 ? 00:00:00 cupsd
is "127.0.0.1 localhost" in your /etc/hosts?
Yes
Any other ideas?
