You must not have the xdevel rpm installed. Always install all libraries whether you think you need them or not, because undoubtedly some app will want one you left out if you don't. Check in yast, all packages, and see if you have xdevel installed, I bet that's the one. good luck Dana J. Laude wrote:

How do you install the "xdevel"? Sounds like some of my problems. Tried to go to Yast, but it isn't a directory and wouldn't let me look at it. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Just fire up Yast and insert CD #1. Then do a install package, go tothe X11 section and xdevel will be in there, X marks the spot and then install selected package. Worked just fine. I just got done compiling the XV source package. I edited a few files like xv.h and Makefile but it worked fine under my copy of 5.1 I'm not sure what you are missing. -Dee W.D.McKinney (Dee) -=- deem@wdm.com No claim to fame, just saved by Grace. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
