I have another problem now. During the setup I selected to install 2.4.0 kernel only, but later on when I wanted to patch the kernel I realized that there were nothing either in /usr/src/kernel2.4.0GB or /usr/src/kernel2.4.0SuSE folder, but the sources were in /usr/src/kernel2.2.18. Is it another bug????? Should I have selected both, or the 2.2.18 first???? It is no point patching the 2.2.18 when uname -a says 2.4.0 is running.
I am afraid that I can't help with that one. I remembered the modules.conf problem from when I was doing some research on modules, but I use vanilla kernels with my 7.0 and I do not know why your present problem arose.
