firefox java plugin only works as root
Hi in: /opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins I have a link to the libjavaplugin_oji.so from: /usr/lib/jvm/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32 It works fine as root but as a user, firefox gives the message that I have to download the java plugin. 9.3 Any ideas? Cheers, Steve.

What permissions are set on /usr/lib/jvm/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32?

javaplugin_oji.so -> /opt/jdk1.5.0_03/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so The link is called "javaplugin_oji.so", in case you have something different. You can also make a link in the user's home directory /home/<user>/.firefox or .mozilla/firefox, I seem to have both. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
