Oh, I am sorry for the glitch (mental deformation of bugzilla). This is 15.1 with standard FF. This started after the first startup today, yesterday there was an update of gcc: openSUSE-SU-2020:1692-1: moderate: Security update for gcc10, nvptx-tools I would guess it is related, but before opening a bugreport, it would be kind to tell me if it can be related... or not. Independent instances of FF (like the Tor browser bundle) starts up well. The crash is at startup and also present without plugins in virgin users (and appreciate, there are few virgin users at my age ;-) ) The machine is X201 with i915 as chipset video. Else needed? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

So I solved this and will raise a bug if not yet there: Rimozione (removal of) di MozillaFirefox-translations-common-78.3.0- lp151.2.69.1.x86_64 This solved the issue. In fact, when sudo zypper rm firefox (3 packages are uninstalled) When sudo zypper in firefox only 2 packages are installed. The first start will give you a non really functional recovery page. Closing it (or starting in safe mode an closing it then) will open a normal firefox instance. No need to "refresh" the firefox, the add ons are not the culprit. This will obviously only touch user that are not English local. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thunderbird 78.3.1 also has (had?) problem crashing with the translation file. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Effectively, the new install works (although I do not understand why the updated package was not offered with zypper up. So, the reinstall gives you an English interface, the setting has to be redone (it is not automatic via the Plasma locale settings (so no integration) and once done the startup takes double the time, but it works. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
