Does anyone know of any other software than the simply label maker for Linux that is available from Lightscribe? It is marginal....that is, it works fine, but the features are less than "modest." I've check all commercial listings I can find, and of course, they're all brain dead and only support MickySoft with a few MAC offerings. Thanks! The following URL should lead you to what you're looking for, as would searching the archives of this list. <http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=LightScribe+Linux>
Thanks!

Oops. Sorry, I didn't read carefully. What features do you require or desire that the LightScribe-supplied software does not provide?
Thanks!

Thanks for the effort.....I tied the 4L software and it doesn't work.....not with OS 10.2 and this drive anyway. The LightScribe sofware does, but man is it limited! Try kbarcode ! Quote from http://www.kbarcode.net "KBarcode is a barcode and label printing application for KDE. It can be used to print everything from simple business cards up to complex labels with several barcodes (e.g. article descriptions). Does it allow you to define your own custom labels shape and size? Then all you need do is describe the cd to it as a label and specify the light scribe device as a printer.
