I have tried almost what you said, but when I try to install all packages consisting of about 3.x GB, it says there isn't enough room on the / mount partition. It is trying to install everything on one hard drive. I want to distribute among three physical drives.
/dev/hda1 / 1.6GB /dev/hdb1 /usr 1.6GB /dev/hdc1 /tmp 1.6GB
What am I doing wrong?
Hi, you know in the setup process where you specify which partion should be / ? Did you also specify which partitions should be /usr and /tmp? If not, it will try to put everything in /. Also if you've been playing around and re-installing a couple of times, make sure you format your / partition to erase the leftovers from the previous installation attempts. I've seen problems where one installation attempt will not over-write files from a previous install. So the available space is less than you think. There probably is an option to overwrite existing files but I hav'nt seen it. It is easier to just format again. I might be wrong with this, but that is the way my system acts. zentara -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
