question on using knoppix to get into an HP netserver running windows server OS
hello, I'm sorry for the slightly off-topic linux question ( not about suse ) Has anyone ever used the newest knoppix CD to boot into an HP netserver LH 4 model or something similar? I have to get into an NT4 system to replace a kernel32.dll file..... I was looking around for a solution for this...winternals makes a product called ERD commander that boots from a CD into a winXP environment that lets you see the server. It can even connect to the network and internet! Well....I didn't have money to buy this....looked around for similar idea but using linux....and I came across knoppix! I got the newest one and tried it out on a workstation running winXP. Knoppix ran perfectly and looked very cool, connected to the internet, played some songs...it was sweet! Now...I just wonder if it will detect scsi raid arrays like the ones HP netservers use. Thanks, Oskar
