Well, I've noticed something strange about 8.2. If one wants to have icons on the KDE desktop for the mounted partitions on the machine and for the CD drives then one has to have "susewatcher" running. This is really annoying. I like the icons there for doing some operations, but I don't need this silly part of YOU running. :/ Anyone know how to disable "susewatcher" and keep the icons? Thanks. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.

Interesting. I was getting a bit suspicious of this interaction, although for me, I was setting the locations of these icons, and next reboot they were jumbled, and after I turned off SuSEwatcher, they were gone, but now I have replaced them they stay put. If you get SuSEwatcher up as a desktop window, it has a checkbox for whether it should run. Sorry that's vague, but I ain't going to load it and look for no one... Vince Littler
