If this ONLY happens on facebook, I would look into what kind of scripts are running on their page. I can't replicate this behavior on any websites I visit, but I'm not about to sign up for facebook just to test this. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't really know. Facebook is essentially one very long html page I would look into what kind of scripts are running on

fairly complex, facebook uses certainly big scripts to refresh it's page, for example I can't replicate this behavior on any websites I visit, but I'm not about
to sign up for facebook just to test this.
sure may be I will have to install noscript to test this thanks jdd -- When will a Label sign her!!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=94&v=BeMk3WRh8QI -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

In the end maybe. But actually the contents are loaded by scripts using a lot of sophisticated "tricks" to make the display so stunningly fast (I don't like fb, but technically they are far out). That goes far beyond simply loading a next part when you scroll to the bottom. I believe that recently they changed some things. Here, for example, the fb "wall" suddenly scrolls by itself, while I look at something in another tap (click on some link in fb to open in new tab, when I come back, the page was scolled a lot. That's new). Also, sometimes when scrolling down, it suddenly takes larger "jumps", and I have to scroll up again to get back to where I was. I can imagine that the behaviour your experience has to do with does recent changes.

If you turn off JavaScript, scrolling below the already loaded page wouldn't work anymore at all. Most of the fb things don't work without JavaScript. -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona http://www.daniel-bauer.com room in Barcelona: https://www.airbnb.es/rooms/2416137 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I remember the time where in firefox (or netscape?) enabling/desabling java and javascript was easy and in the setup. Now one have to go to bout:config! and by the way facebook refuses to work without javascript! jdd -- When will a Label sign her!!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=94&v=BeMk3WRh8QI -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I use the addon http://prefbar.tuxfamily.org/ since many years. With this it's just one click. I only use small part of its capabilities (JavaScript, flash, java on/off; language). It's very easy to customize. -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona http://www.daniel-bauer.com room in Barcelona: https://www.airbnb.es/rooms/2416137 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I will try this, thanks, but if the problem, like it seems to be, come from facebook, there may be no real solution as acebook refuses to orks without javascript :-( thanks jdd -- When will a Label sign her!!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=94&v=BeMk3WRh8QI -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
