hey susers, ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.0/ for instance contains a lot of packages which are updated - for instance OpenSSH 2.3.0 which i needed instead of the 2.1.1 version because of DSA authentication using ssh-agent. anyway, my question is why these packages don't show up in yast - why i could not use yast to update OpenSSH? is there a way to make that directory tree be used by yast for the updating of the system? when i entered it into the ftp source update path, it was constantly looking for a ./suse directory in the ftp directory above, which isn't found... any ideas? thx, martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- "a mathematician is a device for turning coffee into theorems." -- p. erdos

YAST->Choose/Install Packages->Install Packages->Source(ftp) will bring you to the directory you mentioned. -Kastus
