Hi, Am frequently asked to prepare presentations for hardware supplied on site by course organisers etc etc. They only ever have win and powerpoint. Does anyone know of a way of creating powerpoint compatible presentations under linux? Please do not suggest Star ffice (unless you have to) it scattered so many files everywhere when I tried to install it and then refuses to install because it says it is time expired and etc etc etc . Many thanks Francesco -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I am afraid so :( StarOffice is the only Linux office package, that is capable of exporting PowerPoint. AFAIK Applix can do so as well, if you buy a separate filter pack. Don't know about Corel WP Office... Than you must have been trying an ancient version. The current version (5.2) is free to use, and even does an acceptible in importing/exporting Word97 files. And that means someting... Also, time expiring versions are already far more than a year superseded by versions which don't expire. You are barking up the wrong tree...
