[SuSE Linux] Matrox Mystique G200
I read that the driver for this card is integrated into Xfree86 3.3.3, so i checked their website for info about the integration. The site said the card is supported via the xsvga server. Does anyone know if this server is accelerated for the card? I was surprised it is under xsvga...the MGA-G200 chipset is fast and has many features and I thought it would be supported under a separate accelerated server and not in a generic server. just wondering... - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

On the SuSE home page, there is a link for SuSE X Servers. There is one specifically for Matrox G200 cards. There are subject to the same licence as XFree86 servers and are freely available. lunaslide * PGP key->pgpkeys.mit.edu port 11371 * * * * * * * ...the really profound changes in human life all have their ultimate origin in knowledge pursued for its own sake. * * * * * -Alfred North Whitehead * * * * * * * * - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
As far as I know, there are >lots< of accelerated servers included in the svga server. My Matrox Mill1 has been supported by the svga server for years. And its definitely fast. Matrox boards are some of the fastest supported by Linux.

The accelerated servers refer to servers written only for one card type, the XF86_SVGA server contains accelerated servers for a whole bunch of different servers now --- the term accelerated server as the XF86Config file uses it is just a historical curiousity.
