[opensuse] System Lockups Anyone?
Looks like maybe the newest kernel(s) are a problem. I just had hard system lockups twice today with 2.6.22.17-0.1-default on VIA VP3 K6/2. I'm running the original 2.6.22.5-31-default now to see if any better. I also have 10.2 with its latest kernel on the same system and haven't had any lockups with it. Also, I haven't figured out which combination of noapic, acpi=off and/or irqpoll are actually required on this FIC-503+ motherboard with recent kernels. Has anyone already gotten this figured out? -- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." I haven't seen anything like that. My systems just keep on running. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Appears to be a hardware problem: http://www.overclockers.com/tips00140/ -- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
