Hi, I've been a simple fvwm2 user, avoiding the humongous kde and gnome base code. I just downloaded the latest cooledit editor from http://cooledit.sourceforge.net/index.php and it has a nifty icon manager called coolicon. There is a simple to edit config file .cooledit, so you can make your own icons, etc. It's very lightweight, but works well. It's very nice if you want icon support without the bloat. Cooledit isn't bad either, really nice perl syntax highlighting, although the author uses python. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
