Where does Sax2 store the configuration?
I'm running Suse7.1 with X4.0.3, and I want to include the TrueType fonts from my Windows partition in the fonts list. I went into SaX2 and added the appropriate directory to the list shown there (by the way, is it possible to reorder the list as well as add and delete items?). However, when I exited I discovered that /etc/XF86Config hadn't been modified. I went back into SaX2 and verified that SaX2 knew about the addition to the font directory list. So where is that information being saved, if not in /etc/XF86Config? Also, how can I tell if my X server now can see the TrueType fonts and what its fontlist really is? Paul
Sax2 configures x4, and the config file for that is /etc/X11/XF86Config List the fonts your server can see with xlsfonts HTH Anders On Wednesday 09 May 2001 19:14, Paul Abrahams wrote:

Hmmm. xlsfonts doesn't list any of the TrueType fonts, yet the Windows directory containing the Windows fonts does appear in /etc/X11/XF86Config. Does xlsfonts recognize TrueType fonts, or even recognize the .ttf extension? Paul

Have you run SuSEconfig --module fonts after that so it will generate the fonts.dir and fonts.scale files -- Togan Muftuoglu

actually when I went to portal.suse.de today (2 minutes ago) there was mentioning of Truetype fonts for X http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/jkoeke_truetype.html just my 30.000 TL -- Togan Muftuoglu
It lists the truetype fonts I installed with the script Lenz posted a while ago. This script runs /usr/X11R6/bin/ttmkfdir|sed s/^[0-9]*// > fonts.scale.msttfonts in the directory. Maybe that's what you need?! Regards Anders On Wednesday 09 May 2001 19:44, you wrote:
