RE: [SLE] Cyrus - IMAP Postfix continued
I'll look at my notes.
From memory so I could be wrong
I was running a machine that receives internet email, so I only changed the postfix set-up once the IMAP server was running and I could connect in via kmail. imtest lets you check that the imap server is running I set a password for the cyrus user and started cyrus by using '/etc/init.d/cyrus start'. I'll check and post the rest later. Richard

Le Mardi 30 Octobre 2001 11:51, vous avez ecrit :
I followed the Cyrus-IMAP Howto to get my server set-up and running. The only part I ignored was the howto compile the package.
I set it up on 7.2 though. Richard
Thanks but how to start. It looks like I have to reenter users and reenter passwords with saslpasswd but it is not clear.
I have the line mailbox_transport = cyrus in /etc/postfix/main.cf but I don't think it is enough. /etc/master.cf looks OK but...
imtest -m login -p imap localhost ?????
cyradm localhost ???? => can't connect to server => how to launch server?
saslpasswd do I have to do it with each user
Still a long way to go...
Thanks
Alain
