If you need LDAP, you know it.
Great!!! Any recommendation on classic versus LDAP authentication?

You have to install
#Base packages with no authentication
samba-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm samba-client-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm
and # For Classic authentication
samba-classic-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm samba-classic-client-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm
or # For LDAP authentication
samba-ldap-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm samba-ldap-client-2.2.4-3.i386.rpm
That adds up to 4 rpms if you want to be both a Samba Server and a Samba client.
