It seems that I found culprit for slow desktop switching in KDE 4.1. Desktop Grid effect turned off and switching between desktops is fast as it has to be. On better graphic adapters this should be no problem, but mine is Geforce 6100 built in where program window start to slide than stop for a very short moment, and then finishes sliding. I logged in after number of updates today. Here is current version of kdebase4.
