[opensuse] zypper and i386 packages on x86_64
With openSUSE 11.0 I'm trying to only use zypper to update my system :-) It certainly is much faster and seems more reliable than the one in 10.3. One question though - is there anyway to find out which i386/i486/i586/i686 packages are installed on an x86_64 system. i.e. An equivalent to : smart query --installed | grep "i.86" vmware-server I know is one. Thanks -- Regards Scott Newton -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I'm not sure if there's a way to do it with zypper, but you can always with rpm: rpm -qa --queryformat "%{name} %{arch}\n" | grep "86$" There is probably an easier way. -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for that. Maybe when --table-style[1] is implemented one of the styles can be to display the full package name. e.g. x-y.y.y-z.z-i386.rpm? [1] The man page still has TODO next to it. -- Regards Scott Newton -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

'zypper pa -i' has a column containing the Architecture.
