But, it still complains about my not having 48 Megs and recommends that I use YaST1 instead of YaST2 any idea how I do this? Thanks, Ahbaid.

But, it still complains about my not having 48 Megs and recommends that I use YaST1 instead of YaST2 any idea how I do this? Means your still booting into yast2 AKA graphoical yast , you want to boot to yast AKA text based yast , see my earlier post. yast (text) will work with 32 meg and even less. I have used it on as little as 8 meg on a 486 slowwwwww and 16 meg on a p133 a little faster.
Thanks,
Ahbaid.

Try booting from the floppy. 2. Boot from CD1 and then when LILO gives you a prompt (can't remember what it says) type 'manual' and hit return. That should lead you into yast1 3. Boot from CD2, as I remember this is configured to take you straight into Yast1. Hope that this helps. -- Regards, Jethro

This process works well with Linux RedHat 5.2 but not with RedHat greater or equal to 6.0 version, the process stops when it tray to mount the NFS exported directory during the execution of the rc.sysinit script, indicating that there is no write permissions for some archives, one of them is /etc/mtab. Somebody can help me to resolv this problem? Thank you in advance.

Brett, I have installed it off of SuSE7, and found it to be an older version than the one download-able from VMWare site directly. I did just that, and have it up and running. I am running XFree 4.0 without a hitch. The VMWare site is somewhat ambiguous as in one spot it says it will work with any version of 3.2 or greater, and then in another area, it says, "we don't support v4. yet. However, it works by me. -- Best regards, Gary
