Just installed a Abit VP6 motherboard with onboard HPT370 RAID controller. I tried to install SuSE but it does not see the Raid drive, instead it see's the individual drives. Anybody know of there is a fix for this? How do you set up a RAID drive in linux? Thanks -Pete (Yes, I did set up the raid from within the bios and it works in windows)
First check the mobo manual about raid setup. I have a Abit BE6-II with the same htp370 chipset. I seem to remember that there are specific steps to enable the raid for it in the bios. Hope this helps. As it states in the original message I posted, I did
in fact set up the RAID as desribed in the bios and
it does function properly in windows.
Thanks

It is no support for RAID HPT370 for Linux You can run under M$ stuff. http://www.highpoint-tech.com/ and e-mail from hpt-tehc support: " Yes, drivers are in development. They should be ready within a month or two. HighPoint Technologies At 03:27 PM 4/16/01 -0500, you wrote: " j ps send them e-mail just to make volume of requwest. j
