I all the time get torrent files that have no seeds or peers available. The torrent program waits patiently until a seed joins and then starts to download. I wondered if opensuse could make the 10.3 torrent file available today, we could start it, and nothing would happen until their seeds join the torrent.
If that works I could just start it and go to bed. Hopefully when I woke up tomorrow the torrent would be in process. In the past I have had difficulty downloading the torrent file on release day because all the servers are busy.

AFAIK, it's not released yet.
That was my question, can they release the .torrent files today so when they post the .iso images the torrent will start. I know the .torrent files are built with details about the files they are downloading but those must be available by today (to the opensuse developers).

Everything from the GM release are distributed to mirrors via rsync, so developers and beta testers do not use torrents, but rsync. I doubt very much that anyone will post the torrents today since they will only load the tracker(s) with useless traffic since the torrents would be "dead". No, developers and beta testers do use torrents frecuently ;) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
