[opensuse] Thunderbird format
Is there some way to make Thunderbird extend the input line on composing to about twice what it is now? I think it is about 140 characters, but I have room on the page for about twice that, and I think it used to be possible, but I can't find a way to do that now. I tried to find the version of Thunderbird, with rpm -q thunderbird: linux-4qnb:~ # rpm -q thunderbird package thunderbird is not installed Wha? I'm writing this on Thunderbird! In the "About" window, it says that the version is 68.5.0 (64 bit) Thanx for any assistance--doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

rpm is like the filesystem, case sensitive. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! Preferences/Advanced/General >> click on "Config editor" radio button, bottom right. Accept the risk. Search for "wrap", the entry you need to edit is "mailnews.wraplength" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This paragraph above displays in my Thunderbird as a single very long line that wraps at window border. Your text is flowed and uses soft returns. Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed I can tell you settings related to it tomorrow. What you need is an extension called "Toggle Word Wrap" that allows to write long lines and disable line wrapping. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)

You need these settings: mail.wrap_long_lines;true mailnews.wraplength;72 plain_text.wrap_long_lines;true mailnews.send_plaintext_flowed;true Read this link that explains how it works: <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plain_text_e-mail_-_Thunderbird> 6 Advanced 6.1 Flowed format Then, you need this addon: <http://git.kiszka.org/togglewordwrap.git/> (Toggle Word Wrap by Jan Kiszka) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
