And what proper route should I follow when install fglrx 9.3 from .run? # mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf ~/xorg.conf-bakup # aticonifg --initial # diff /etc/X11/xorg.conf ~/xorg.conf-bakup

and this should tell you the differences between the two conf files. Thing is if aticonfig finds fglrx in the conf file, the assumption is that a working conf file exist and there is no need to change/update it. Avoid using sax2 and this will overwrite the conf file.
