Re: [SuSE Linux] What is the Linux version of Ctrl-Alt-Del?
run the command ps, which will list all of your processes. If you're running KDE there are a bunch of them. Look for the offending program and note the process ID number. Then run: kill -9 ID where ID is the process ID of the program to kill It shouldn't start up with KDE anymore. ----- Original Message ----- From: Zulfiqar Naushad <zulfiqar@shaw.wave.ca> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Saturday, December 26, 1998 3:58 AM Subject: [SuSE Linux] What is the Linux version of Ctrl-Alt-Del?
This is what I did.
I ran a X(xxxxxx) command. (ie. a xwindows program) in my KDE, and now what happens is that every single time KDE starts that silly program starts up too.
How do I stop that program from loading? oh btw, that program is like a virtual windows thing. The window 1, 2,3 and 4. It has no toolbar and hence I cannot click on an exit button, and on top of that it does not respond to a right click or a chord click.
