RE: [SLE] [TROLL]Fixing Linux/Windows was SuSE CTO and President Steps Down

All of you can use the OS that is the best for you. Also you can say all that you want about that OS, and say bad thigs of the "other" OS. That you can't do is to stop fighting for nothing. This is because the human needs (al least looks like that) to fight whit other for some reason, no matter what reason is it. This is like that war where nobody knows why is fighting (they don't remenber that) but still fight. So, what if it's Linux, Windows, Mac, Unix, DOS, Netware, etc?.
PS: No one OS is perfect because they are made by people. -----Original Message----- From: Anders Johansson [mailto:andjoh@cicada.linux-site.net] Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2001 11:42 AM To: SuseLinux Subject: Re: [SLE] [TROLL]Fixing Linux/Windows was SuSE CTO and President Steps Down So you're still running fat 16 then?! That can't be very efficient. And how exactly do you upgrade a hard drive without reformatting? And what exactly do you think you're doing when you're 'upgrading' from one winversion to the next, if not *reinstalling*! However, if your definition if re-installation is reformatting/repartitioning then you can that is very, very possible with linux. There was a transition from the old minix file system to ext2 some time in the distant past, but apart from that I can see no *forcing* reason to reformat! Ever! I don't know if your comments were directed at me, but if they were, I suggest you re-read my post. I never said a single bad thing about windows. I was merely pointing out that the previous poster was full of * and was merely trying to stir up argument. That was also why I inserted [TROLL] in the subject. But you're right, we shouldn't be wasting bandwidth on this. In the words of some mail admin DIE THREAD, DIE, DIE! Anders On Thursday 30 August 2001 17.45, Martin, Guillen wrote:
