Anyone know what the following error means? Nothing changed other than normal YOU updates. Browser crashed while using map24.com and will not restart. I deleted all of the cache files as well. ken@pc5:~> firefox INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Expected a version > 5! Version = 4 System error?:: No such file or directory SuSE 9.3, KDE 3.4.3 ken@pc5:~> firefox --version Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7, Copyright (c) 1998 - 2005 mozilla.org -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

Hi Ken, Check out this page: http://suseroot.com/blog/blog.php?postid=37 He's a bit wordy, so scan down to the paragraph that starts with this: "Today I had another problem with SUSE 9.3..." He describes getting the identical error message and what he did to fix it. HTH & regards, - Carl

Yep, that was it. I also love the User Agent thing that has allowed me to enter many sites that only support MSIE. Thanks for the help. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

I suppose it's a good thing if you /have/ to get into those places. Personally, I try to avoid those sites as much as possible...
Thanks for the help.
Modest payback considering all the great advice you dispense here! ;-) regards, - Carl

Thanks. I mainly use it to enter sites and then complain to them and tell them what I am using and there is no need to support only MSIE. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

/That/ is a great use for the user agent plugin... and it hadn't even occurred to me. IOU again ;-) - Carl
