Nat not enough ==> IPv6 gateway???
I have some ideas how to overcome my IP shortage: I have to my SuSE box only 1 IP, but /64 IPv6 addresses, which I could use on the LAN Since I have a lots of virtual domains, I want to bring them on different machines, and here starts the problem. I can forward all port 80 requests to another machine, but I cannot split them to different machines. I am not clear what to do, but I would like to make a IPv4-IPv6 gateway, which should work somehow like: IPv6 -----> Linux ----> target machine (IPv6) IPv4 -----> Linux: what name? Name-Address-Translation to IPv6 accordingly ------> target machine (IPv6) Another idea would be to use a proxy server instead on my Linux box, which is feeded from the internal servers, however, than I have the fool load again on my Linux box, ... bye Ronald -- Ronald Wiplinger, Technical Director Bright Networking Inc, http://www.2bright.net 7F, 192-1, Sec. 3, Tatung Rd., Shijr City, Taipei, Taiwan, RoC Tel.: +886 2 8647-1685, Mobile +886 915 653-452, Fax: +886 2 8647-2002
