[opensuse] yast and zypper update failures
Hi . A friend of mine has just installed OS 11.2 on his laptop a Toshiba A30 after several problems we now have it working and stable (sort of) ,He ran an update from yast using the stock repo's as per the install from DVD now whenever he tries to install anything using yast or zypper or for that matter oneclick he get the following messages Download failed "Failed to download ./i586/vcdimager-0.7.23-168.1.i586.rpm from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/htraki/openSUSE_11.2/" History "- [AbstractCommand.cc:195]URI=http://130.57.19.20/repositories/home:/htraki/openSUSE_11.2/i586/vcdimager-0..." Plus 3 more lines with differnet URI's but all the same from "repositories/home:/htraki/openSUSE_11.2/i586/vcdimager-0.7.23-168.1.i586.rpm" Installing anything from pacman or anyother site works fine untill it needs to satisfy a dep from an opensuse site then bang up pops that above messages and you can go no further This happens using an USB mobile Dongal via umtsmon or a wired ethernet connection Cheers Pete PS i do not have this system with me it is all via phone contact -- Powered by openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 2 (x86_64) Kernel: 2.6.30-rc6-git3-4- default KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 1" 22:06 up 7 days 12:48, 4 users, load average: 1.02, 0.61, 0.45

Installing anything from pacman or anyother site works fine untill it needs to satisfy a dep from an opensuse site then bang up pops that above messages and you can go no further
This happens using an USB mobile Dongal via umtsmon or a wired ethernet connection
Cheers Pete
PS i do not have this system with me it is all via phone contact
Disable the problem repo and see if the problem gets fixed as it not a standard openSUSE repo. Or get the person that maintains the repo to fix it. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Been there tried that the problem arises as soon as anything has to come from an openSUSE site any other site no problem but as soon as it contains openSUSE then bingo up pops the error but the link C&P into a browser works no problem Pete . -- Powered by openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 2 (x86_64) Kernel: 2.6.30-rc6-git3-4- default KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 1" 00:04 up 7 days 14:46, 4 users, load average: 0.57, 0.59, 0.56
