Because https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=406035 is WONTFIX against the release it was filed under, I was forced to find a newer kernel
is this fixed upstream (that is in the vanilla kernel)? if so you should be able to compile the newest kernel - I didn't this recently, but it used to be pretty easy jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Did you not read what I wrote that you failed to quote, or the bug referred to, before replying? AFAIK, the kernel that followed the 11.0 release kernel automatically included a fix. Why do you think I could and should successfully recompile a kernel if someone who actually knows how did it and got it hosted on download.opensuse.org already? My experience with compiling kernels is minimal and ancient, and certainly doesn't include the split into three packages varieties that are the recent and latest openSUSE kernels. -- "Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle."
