[opensuse] Prblem with 'recently used'
I'm running KDE4.7 out of Factory but this was in 4.6 as well If I start a program from the kickoff menu it appears afterwards in the 'recently used', But only for that session. If I log off and back on, the items from the previous session are gone. What's there is a collection from back when.... Oh, and its only the programs. The recently used documents part works fine. I'm resuming that this is maintained in memory for the session and written to disk on log off. But that doesn't seem to happen. What am I missing here? /a -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've just cleared out all 'recently used' programs and logged off/logged on, and the 'basic set' are still there. I cleared them, logged off, shut down KDM and looked at ~/.kde4/share/config/kickoffrc The basic set was still there: [RecentlyUsed] Applications=kde4-konsole.desktop,kde4-konqbrowser.desktop,kde4basket.desktop,thunderbird.desktop,firefox.desktop I wondered if it was an access probnlem: No ls -l .kde4/share/config/kickoffrc -rw------- 1 anton users 3276 Aug 4 10:39 .kde4/share/config/kickoffrc I it were really a bug then I expect someone else to notice it. Anyone??? Anyone else able to reproduce this? If not then its a problem locally. In which case can I ask for help tracking down the problem.
