Boot OpenSuSE from CD or CD/IsoLinux
Hi List, small problem. I didn't like the grub of openSuSE, because didn't start w2k any more, i know that's another issue, but my Slackware installation wasn't shown, too. Now I want to start up my openSuSE installation from the CD, but there's a problem, the messages say that /proc can not by mountet. I assumed to start the installation over the boot parameters of isolinux, but no chance. any ideas. goal is, put the bootloader for openSuSE in its root directory an extract via dd. thanks in advance. kindly regards peter Mit freundlichen Grüßen Peter Reiner (Durchwahl -2635) HALLESCHE Krankenversicherung auf Gegenseitigkeit Direktion Reinsburgstr. 10, 70178 Stuttgart Telefon +49 (0)711/6603-0, Fax +49 (0)711/6603-290 service@hallesche.de www.hallesche.de Zum 7. I can confirm that OpenSUSE doesn't play nice on a dual boot with WinXP :( not had a chance yet to file a bug report as I need to re-install to try a few other things. Andy
