Hello, I have installed VLC from packman and things generally worked fine - until I wanted to play a WMV file, which VLC just can't play. I googled but all I could find was a reference to vlc-codecs, which is installed. Here is zypper if for the package: Information for package vlc-codecs: ----------------------------------- Repository: Packman Repository Name: vlc-codecs Version: 2.2.4-3.1 Arch: x86_64 Vendor: http://packman.links2linux.de Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date Installed Size: 528.3 KiB Summary: VLC: VideoLAN Client - Codec extension Description: This Package enhances the functionality of the VLC VideoLAN Client with Codecs that are not available in a stock openSUSE distribution. mplayer plays WMV files fine, but I do like to have a GUI like VLC. Can I get WMV codecs for VLC somehow? Or should I just switch to something mplayer-based, like smplayer? -- Yours, Mikhail Ramendik Unless explicitly stated, all opinions in my mail are my own and do not reflect the views of any organization -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
