Everything seems to work fine, except for the sound card. Using alsaconf, it detects the SiS AC'97 sound controller, but still there is no sound. try alsamixer in a console. then unmute all muted channels one by one. after unmuting a channel test, then unmute the next. do the same with all unmuted channels (mute them), one by one. begin with all the "IEC958" named channels.
